The organisers of this event give notice that they intend to hold single screenings of  the following films from DVD copies on November 5, 2016 at a small independent film festival event:

The Seventh Victim (1943)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036341/

The organisers have sought to establish the owners of the rights to screen these films from DVD in the UK and have contacted (among many others) the key licensing organisations within the industry, including:

  • Film Bank

  • Park Circus

  • The Motion Picture Licensing Company

  • RKO Radio Pictures

  • Aires SA, Paris

  • Odeon Entertainment

  • Hollywood Classics

  • Screenbound Entertainment

  • Metrodome Group

None of these organisations have been able to offer a licence to screen this film, or to suggest an organisation that can.

Any company that can provide reasonable evidence that they own the rights to charge a fee for the screening of these films from DVD (not print), please contact the organisers.

Because of the historical and cultural importance of these films, these films should be screened and it is our intention that if no licencee comes forward, the screening will go ahead. Any organisation subsequently evidencing their ownership of the right to issue such a licence may claim within a reasonable period a licensing fee of £85 for the screening, or 35% of the box office of that screening, whichever is the greater.
