The core members of Word & Co. are Chris Lewis and Christine Pike.
Together we offer more than 35 years' experience of writing for business, journalism and many other specialist contexts.
We can also draw on our network of other specialist writers, editors, proofreaders and trainers to provide you with a service tailored to the specific needs of your organisation.
Chris Lewis MA
I've been a professional writer for more than 30 years, and I particularly enjoy untangling complex academic, technical, clinical, or policy materials and presenting them in a way that can be easily understood by non-specialist audiences.
In addition to freelancing for many different kinds of businesses in the private sector, I have experience of journalism, local government, the NHS and the not-for-profit sector.
As a newspaper journalist on a busy agency, I placed stories in all the national newspapers, and my magazine features have appeared in publications as varied as Teddy Bear Times and Shooting Times.
In addition to professional qualifications in newspaper journalism and management, I have a master's degree in public policy.
Christine Pike MA
I hold a Masters Degree in Contemporary Art Curation, and a BA in English.
I have a wide range of experience in visual art curation and gallery management, particularly in the not-for-profit sector. My particular areas of interest are in socially engaged practice and arts in the community.
I have led a number of projects from funding bid through to completion and evaluation and have acted as consultant on other successful funding applications.
I have worked as a feature writer for local newspapers and international magazines. Currently, I manage the social media and Public Relations for several small arts organisations.
I am a trustee for Downham Market Arts, an arts charity which supports rural touring theatre and live performance for Downham and the surrounding area.
In addition, I continue my own practice as a figurative sculptor, tutor, and freelance curator.
